You have reached this page because you have clicked the "Donate" button, or similar, while using PatchUp! The Augmented Interface for Luminar.
PatchUp! is provided free of charge and without any obligation on a user's part to offer any consideration in terms of payments or benefits in order to use the tool.
However, having clicked on the button that brought you here, I offer my congratulations to you for taking the first step in joining an all too rare group of people ... those that donate to developers of free software.
Many developers extend time and fortune to produce useful pieces of software which they then release for free. They are often requested to provide means to accept donations but the reality is that most people that benefit from the work, including developers of commercial software that rely on such free software, never actually give anything back to these developers.
I have personally produced several utilities with a cummulative download tally of over 10,000 times and have never received a cent in return. With my previous work, these have only cost me my time and the satisfaction I gained in working on them have been enough recompense although it would still have been nice to get a concrete token of appreciation.
Congratulations once again for taking this step.
PatchUp! leverages existing free software, ImageMagick on Windows and ExifTool on both Windows and Mac, to optimise and repair Luminar Libraries. These two amazing pieces of software are best in class at what they do and the pledge below is a commitment to the developers of these wonderful pieces of software.
I, Dayo Akanji, Author and Developer of PatchUp! The Augmented Interface for Luminar, hereby pledge that 40% of all donations received with respect to PatchUp! will be donated in turn to the ImageMagick and Exiftool projects for as long as PatchUp! relies on these utilities.
Previous experience has demonstrated that users often need incentives to donate to developers of free software. I wish it was not the case, but it is unfortunately so.
As such, certain features in PatchUp! have been locked and those that do donate will be eligible to gain access to these features. These restrictions are scaled in what is considered to be a reasonable manner by placing people in categories.
There is no minimum donation requirement but the form below can only process amounts of US $1.00 or more. Please click here If you wish to donate less than US $1.00.
Bearing the pledge made in mind, it is recommended that a minimum amount of US $5.00 is donated and that donations be made in multiples of US $5.00. This would in turn allow minimum donations of, and donations in multiples of, US $1.00 to each of the ImageMagick and Exiftool projects.
Notwithstanding this, please feel free to donate whatever amount you feel comfortable with.
Please use the form provided below to securely connect to the payment handler to make a donation.
